You are the love of my life and always will be. I thank God for placing you in my path. Thank you for everything my love thank you. -Jenny

Papi, you were the first to hold me when I was born. You always seemed to be there at the time I needed you the most. You taught me how to fish so I would never go hungry. You taught me how to dance so I can enjoy life. You have always kept a roof over my head so I may always have shelter.

I know this may sound weird, but I used to love Christopher Reeve because he was handsome, strong and because he protected Lois Lane. But the truth of it all is he reminded me of you ….. because you were always and will always be my Superman. I have always loved you Papi and you will never be forgotten. - Ilda

Pai,
How do I say goodbye to the man who shaped every part of who I am?
You were more than my father, you were my teacher, my mentor, my best friend, and my constant companion. Everything I know, you taught me. You taught me how to work hard, how to take care of my family, how to love without conditions, and most importantly, you taught me how to be a father.
Every lesson I pass on to my children has a piece of you in it. The man I became is because of the example you set every single day. I can only hope that I have made you as proud of me as I have always been to call you my dad.
Watching you love my children was one of the greatest blessings of my life. You weren't just their Welito, you were their safe place, their biggest fan, and someone who made every moment special. The memories you created with them are treasures they will carry in their hearts forever. That bond can never be replaced.
I can't imagine the emptiness that will come after today. There will be a space in my heart that no one else can ever fill. But I find comfort knowing that your love, your wisdom, and your strength will continue to live through me and through my children.
Thank you for every sacrifice, every laugh, every lesson, every hug, and every moment we shared. Thank you for making me the man I am today.
I will carry you with me for the rest of my life. I will honor you by loving my family the way you loved yours.
I love you, Dad. I always will.
Until we meet again.

I've always said the person I am as an adult is a combination of the people who raised me. My grandfather taught me how to take care of a family. When I hurt myself he always had a bandaid. When summer came around we knew we were going fishing. Afternoons we were watching Kung Fu and cowboy movies while he played guitar and sang. Still wondering who would win Jackie Chan or Jet Li. When I wanted a toy sword we went to his workshop and he built me one because he could build anything. When my great grandparents were still with us and needed help, he maybe wasn't excited to help but it was never a question if he would show up. He was there like it was yesterday. I love my grandfather for showing me these things and all the others. Thank you Grandpa for being the father I never had. I love you and will carry on everything that you taught me.
