Benito was known for his love of Italian food and many successful restaurant endeavors from Gary, Indiana to South Side Chicago, including Gomez Tacos and Luigi's Pizza. Many remember him tinkering in his garage, cooking on the grill, talking with neighbors and friends.  He was also known for his charisma, talented singing voice, and hobby for boxing as he was once a Golden Glove amateur boxer in his youth. Benito was more than just a friend, but a family man who faithfully raised six children with his wife of 67 years.
